So we got home from school today to find that Pepin had eaten the majority of a daffodil plant and had begun vomiting all over the house, normally we would have been simply angry at him,
but since we know that daffodils, or any bulb (or corm as they are apparently called for real, Laura insisted) for that matter, are extremely poisonous we were actually concerned. We figured that most likely he would eventually vomit himself out, but to be on the safe side decided to call the vet for a 2nd opinion. This is where we hit a snag, interestingly enough, although all vets in steinbach advertise 24 hour emergency service not one of them answered their phones, our vet, Dr. Millar finally called us back, I suppose he saw our number on his phone when he got out of surgery, which is where he had been. He lets us know that as long as he didn't eat the bulb he should be okay and that if it gets worse we
would have to put him on an IV to re-hydrate the wee thing. We will watch him tonight and update in the morning as to the situation.
Update: As of this morning he is fine, a little more docile then normal but at least back to his old self.
